Alfred Hitchcock directed suspence treat-photograpeher is laid up in his apartment, takes to examining his neighbors through binoculars, and becomes convinced his neighbor has slain his wife. Nail-biting tension laced with some scenes of sharp sophisticated comedy, a delight from beginning to end.

 

Some say without money you can't make a good movie. When you see a movie like [the Last Emperor] or [Dances with the wolves], you might nod yor head. But this particular movie, I suppose, cost a buck. Still, it is excellant. Therefore you may say, the movie depends a lot on the director's technic.

It deals with a small but insidious incident. It succeeds in catching the watcher's curiosity through the movie. The reason is, I think, Hitchcock's acute understanding of the human nature. In this movie it was represented as peeping habit(관음증-voyeurism).
