When you usually watch light dramas, you are confused if you are faced with some serious dramas. You get something in this kind of movie, still you are not sure what it is. About this movie, I read the play and translated part of it. But it was long time ago, and I couldn't remember most part. In my memory there was only the main story line.

Even though I don't understand what the writer wanted to tell us, the movie has full of seriousness. Who is this girl, Blanche? And How about Stanley? Why do they always fight? Blanche, a middle upper class girl, degenerated to lascivious(음탕한) and neurotic woman and Stanley, a low class blue collar worker with animalistic behavior.

Before I get to any conclusion I need to read or watch the movie again, one thing, however, I learned from this movie and "East of Eden" is that the atmosphere of both of them are very gloomy. Then may I say that was it the real atmosphere of thirties and forties in America.

I need more time and more thinking.
