****Ernest goes to Jail(1990) (Jan, 21)
Jim Varney. Ernest P. Worrell meets his evil double, a nasty big-time criminal who plans to rob the bank where Ernest works while our hero is mistakenly sent to prison in his place. Some of the gags are stretched beyond endurable, but Varney seems so glad to be playing two characters that he works overtime on his silly noises, funny farces, and spine-snapping pratfalls.
Absurd, childish, not-recommendable, but what the hack, funny some stupid way.
